About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Planner to join our team in Austin, Texas. As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in developing and implementing transportation plans and designs that promote multimodal transportation, safe routes to schools, complete streets, and vision zero principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead transportation planning and design projects, including multimodal corridor studies, pedestrian and bicycle planning, and urban street design guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and community groups to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Mentor and guide junior planners and designers to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate transportation planning with urban design and landscape architecture.
  • Develop and implement public outreach and engagement strategies to ensure community involvement and buy-in.
  • Prepare and present high-quality planning documents, including reports, presentations, and proposals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to inform transportation planning and design.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in transportation planning and design, with a focus on multimodal transportation.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in transportation or urban planning, landscape architecture, or a related field.
  • AICP certification is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects and teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GIS software, and Adobe Creative Suite.
