MRI Department Supervisor

As a MRI Department Supervisor at Bayhealth, you will oversee the daily activities of the MRI Department and serve as a resource person for problem-solving. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills to ensure the highest quality of patient care and efficient department operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Supervision: Supervise assigned staff during daily operations, perform annual performance evaluations, and ensure that technologists have access to policies and procedures relevant to their job duties.
2. Quality and Safety: Monitor technical quality for assigned sections, conduct monthly QA's, and report results in the monthly PI report. Ensure that equipment is in working condition 98% of the time and report problems to Clinical Engineering.
3. Equipment Management: Monitor all equipment, ensure that results of daily JC checks are accurately recorded, and meet State or Federal guidelines. Ensure that the department has adequate staffing for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
4. Personnel Management: Understand payroll practices, accurately approve and load time for assigned employees, and track attendance issues using Kronos. Review Laser Vault reports to monitor actual vs. budgeted hours.
Requirements:
• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology
• American Registry of MRI Technologists certification
• Basic Life Support certification
• 18 months experience in General Radiography and 2 years MRI experience
• Preferred: Supervisory experience
