Position Overview

ISC Manufacturing is a prominent local enterprise engaged in the design and fabrication of intricate systems and components for various sectors including Agriculture, Mining, Aggregates, Construction, Waste Processing, and Conveying. We are in search of a proficient maintenance mechanic to ensure the seamless operation of our production machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute regular maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, encompassing motors, pumps, CNC machines (lathes, mills, plasma), and manual tools (drill presses, press brakes, slip rolls, welding machines).
  • Identify and rectify issues in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks and guarantee prompt repairs to avert equipment downtime.
  • Work closely with the maintenance lead, production manager, and engineering teams to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Keep precise maintenance logs and records of all activities conducted.
  • Assist in the setup and commissioning of new machinery.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to foster a secure working environment.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and propose enhancements to processes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Valid Driver's license is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related mechanical field.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and electrical principles.
  • Familiarity with overhead electric hoist systems.
  • Capability to operate or learn to operate forklifts, boom lifts, and other heavy machinery.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools as well as diagnostic instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while effectively managing various tasks.
  • Must provide personal tools.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday for 8-12 hours, with occasional weekend work as required.
  • Exemplary work ethic, serving as a role model for peers and leading by example.
  • Team-oriented mindset, demonstrating ownership, honesty, integrity, and a commitment to the company's success.
  • Safety must be a core value, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • This role necessitates physical activities such as squatting, kneeling, bending, crawling, twisting, reaching overhead, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, as well as standing or walking for up to 12 hours a day.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, along with basic mathematical skills.

Work Environment: The work setting is a non-climate-controlled, expansive 200,000 sq ft facility.
