JOB PURPOSE

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is tasked with ensuring cleanliness and orderliness within the premises. Responsibilities include vacuuming, buffing floors, shampooing carpets, emptying trash, and replacing liners in waste receptacles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and supply designated areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning vents, restroom sanitation, etc.)
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance activities, documenting findings
  • Execute heavy cleaning tasks and special projects as required
  • Report any deficiencies or repair needs to management
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments as necessary
  • Manage and restock supply rooms
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow staff members
  • Uphold the highest standards of safety and sanitation
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Ability to adhere to safety and security protocols
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting written instructions; capable of clear communication
  • Physical capability to perform janitorial tasks and operate standard equipment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently or as part of a team
  • Professional demeanor and ability to follow supervisory directions
