Senior Occupational Safety Specialist

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Safety Specialist to join our team at Octapharma Plasma, Inc.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the health and safety of employees, customers, and visitors across our donation centers and corporate departments. As an integral part of our team, you'll work closely with site managers and department heads to implement and monitor safety programs, driving continuous improvement and excellence in workplace safety.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement OSHA compliance frameworks and operating models, partnering with management to ensure seamless execution.
- Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and workplace inspections to identify risks and hazards, recommending corrective measures to mitigate potential harm.
- Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near misses, analyzing root causes and developing actionable insights to enhance safety protocols.
- Design and deliver OSHA-required training programs for employees, supervisors, and managers, empowering them with knowledge and skills to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related data, including incident reports, audit findings, and training records, leveraging this information to inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop emergency action plans and response procedures, ensuring all personnel are equipped to respond effectively to crises.
- Stay up-to-date with evolving OSHA regulations, industry standards, and best practices, applying this knowledge to inform policy updates and procedural enhancements.
- Promote a culture of proactive safety through effective communication, leadership, and engagement, fostering a workplace environment where employees feel empowered to report potential hazards.
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or a related field.
- 4-6 years' experience in OSHA compliance, safety management, or a related role.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing safety programs, conducting audits, and maintaining compliance records.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and recommend evidence-based solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and convey complex information clearly.
- A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
