Senior HVAC Automation Systems Integration Specialist

Overview:

ABM Industries at Central Piedmont Community College seeks an experienced Senior HVAC Automation Systems Integration Specialist to manage and integrate the Building Automation System (BAS) Technician, working closely with Facility Management to maintain the logics, equipment, and daily monitoring operations of the BAS. This role is responsible for analyzing performance, inventory control, quality assurance, and aiding the onsite building operations team in daily troubleshooting and repairs of the HVAC systems, focusing on the BAS controls, DDC system components, and devices.

Estimated Salary Range:

$65,000 - $95,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

The Senior HVAC Automation Systems Integration Specialist will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Analyzing performance, inventory control, quality assurance, and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Aiding the onsite building operations team in daily troubleshooting and repairs of the HVAC systems, focusing on the BAS controls, DDC system components, and devices.
  • Co-monitoring the operation of the BAS and HVAC systems, including alarm management, performance, programming, building occupancy schedules, temperature setpoints, lighting controls schedules, submeters, histories, trends, and other systems.
  • Consulting with business unit management and personnel to identify and document service delivery needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements.
  • Inputs work orders in Asset Essential CMMS system. Completing self-assessed work orders in a timely manner.

Requirements:

To be successful as a Senior HVAC Automation Systems Integration Specialist, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
  • Tridium AX & N-4 License required or have the ability to obtain it within the first 60 days of work.
  • 2-10 years experience with Trane, Tridium, Niagra, Distec, Johnson Controls Metasys, Rover, and Honeywell Building Automation System components repair.
  • Electronics or equivalent job experience in the controls industry.
  • Computer networking knowledge and skills.
  • CMMS experience preferred.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of DDC controls as they apply to the HVAC industry.
  • Have an interest in maintaining HVAC and DDC controls skills through a combination of self-study, corporate training, workshops, and other school or training development skills.

Work Environment:

The Senior HVAC Automation Systems Integration Specialist will work primarily Monday through Friday, first shift, with rotational on-call shifts to respond to after-hours emergencies. The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, talking, hearing, climbing ladders, using lifts, and moving up to 50 pounds.
