Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laborer to join our team at Guy Bennett Lumber Company. As a Laborer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all areas of the mill are clean and meet company standards.
  • Learn to operate machinery for relief purposes and to support career advancement.
  • Clean designated areas of sawdust, slabs, and sticks.
  • Properly use the lift truck and waste box.
  • Clean bathrooms and lunchrooms daily.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Good work and/or school history.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, as well as random tests during employment.
Physical Requirements/Environmental Setting

This role requires standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, crawling, stooping, twisting, climbing, balancing, leg/foot use, reaching, handling, and grasping. The employee must be able to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 70 pounds. This job involves interaction with others, deadlines, shift work, and highly repetitive tasks. The employee will be exposed to elements and must follow safety requirements. Hard hats and safety glasses are required while on clean-up.
