About the Job

This is a full-time position at Nelson Farms, a family-owned and operated grain farm that has been in operation since 1974.

Job Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working in agriculture, preferably in a grain farming environment.
  • They will also have mechanical aptitude and be comfortable operating and maintaining farm equipment, including tractors, grain carts, combines, and semi-trucks.
  • Physical labor is a significant part of this job, and the candidate should be able to lift, bend, and stand for long periods.
  • A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus, but not required.
Job Responsibilities
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining farm equipment, including tractors, grain carts, combines, and semi-trucks.
  • They will also be responsible for performing physical labor tasks, such as fixing tile and scooping grain bins.
  • Additionally, they will be expected to learn and follow instructions, and be willing to work in a team environment.
