Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Securities Lending Operations Specialist to join our team at eTeam. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering transactions in agreed time-frames, improving quality of processing, reducing errors, and inculcating a zero-error culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders – Business, Engineering, Operations, and Credit.
  2. Actively engage, partner, and drive changes, provide excellent service and support.
  3. Proactively manage operational risk inherent in business.
  4. Ensure all operational risk/issues are identified and mitigated appropriately and proactively.
  5. Ensure adequate operational controls to manage non-generic business.
  6. Monitor and book recall requests on GS' borrows from different Lenders.
  7. Monitor and book returns on GS' loans to external Counterparts.
  8. Monitor and book/amend returns on open borrows based on counter-party feedback.
  9. Monitor and book returns which get cancelled due to issues with GS/Vendor systems.
  10. Inform the trading desk daily on all borrows which have been recalled but not returned.
  11. Query resolution and interaction with trading desk and Lenders on recall/return requests.
  12. Agree to deliver/receive margin based on Stock borrow/loan settlement and mark-to-market activity.
  13. Investigate and resolve discrepancies of positions (cash and securities) in the firm's books and records.
  14. Complete and oversee daily checklist ensuring all controls, procedures, and processes relating to the assigned functions are followed.
  15. To act as a change agent solving problems at root cause while also taking/making opportunities to automate flows.

Requirements:

  • Experience gained within Securities Lending.
  • Self-driven with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible team player and aptitude to working well under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to understand technical workflows in detail.
  • Previous project management experience or ability to identify and drive forward process improvement.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
