Job Title: Asset-Based Lending Collateral Analyst

At First Utah Bank, we are seeking a highly skilled Asset-Based Lending Collateral Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Asset-Based Lending team, you will be responsible for reviewing, monitoring, and managing the Asset-Based Working Capital loan portfolio for the Bank.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and process collateral and borrowing base reports submitted by clients.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable aging, inventory, and accounts payable aging reports to the borrowing base collateral reports, calculating ineligible collateral amounts based on pre-determined schedules.
  • Prepare monthly borrowing base exception reports and track changes.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of the asset-based loan portfolio by alerting management of any discovered irregularities and/or suspected problems.
  • Coordinate with the Business Banking Department and the Bank's asset-based customers to ensure that all necessary documentation is in place to allow the Bank to quickly initiate the proper collection efforts in the event of loan default.

  • Address Borrowing Base customers' questions and concerns regarding their collateral schedules.
  • May assist in collateral audits and inspections.
  • Performs other duties as necessary to support departmental and organizational goals.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in Customer Experience, Banking, Accounting, and/or Finance is a plus.
  • High School Diploma required; College Degree preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and use independent judgment with minimal supervision.
  • Must be self-motivated, accurate, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement structure and analysis preferred.
  • Knowledge of general computer applications and ability to develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets, including multiple page formulas.
