Job Title: Accounting Technician

The Montana Department of Corrections is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for performing accounting work in the development and maintenance of the Department's accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the Department's accounting systems, including Personal Services, Inmate Accounts, Accounts Payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Analyze and revise documents prepared by institutions, as needed.
  • Originate documents, as required.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of job-related college or vocational training in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 3 to 4 years of job-related work experience.
  • Other combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
