Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Catering Manager to join our team at Compass Group Careers. As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of catering events, including logistics, quality improvement, sanitation, and facility-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate catering events, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with the Chef to develop menus and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Train and develop catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service.
  • Monitor labor and food costs, ensuring efficient operations and cost control.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, customers, and associates, maintaining excellent relationships.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of food service experience, including 1 year at the management level.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
  • Catering experience is required.
  • Knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
  • ServSafe Certification.
