Position: Service Sales Representative
The primary responsibility of this position is to represent the company professionally while promoting and selling fire sprinkler solutions to general contractors and end users within a designated territory. This role involves estimating and quoting fire sprinkler systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial applications, as well as fostering new business relationships through positive customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, select, and develop new and existing customer accounts.
- Maintain effective communication with clients to ensure satisfaction with our services.
- Meet contractual obligations and resolve customer issues promptly.
- Provide quotes for services and follow up on inquiries.
- Engage with prospects to qualify potential buyers of fire protection contracts.
- Assess customer needs and devise a sales strategy to enhance understanding of our offerings.
- Achieve sales targets to exceed performance objectives.
- Interpret blueprints and adhere to NFPA standards and local regulations.
- Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Collaborate with branch personnel to ensure exceptional customer service throughout the process.
- Conduct customer surveys as needed.
- Establish and maintain vendor relationships.
- Obtain necessary licenses and certifications relevant to the role.
- Complete scheduled calls and follow up as directed by management.
- Adhere to company processes and ensure timely completion of required documentation.
- Continuously enhance sales skills and product knowledge to maintain a professional image.
- Travel to client sites as required.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are necessary:
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- An Associate's degree in a technical or business field related to fire suppression is advantageous.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in selling service contracts within the fire protection sector is essential.
- Experience in sprinkler design, including estimating and hydraulic calculations, is a plus.
- Familiarity with NFPA standards is required.
- Knowledge of industry practices for service and inspection is necessary.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) is essential.
