UNC Health is seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the North Carolina Children's Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, cost-effective care to critically ill newborn infants in our state-of-the-art Newborn Critical Care Center.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver critical care medical management to newborns in the NICU and delivery rooms.
  • Collaborate with attending neonatologists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing and ordering evidence-based pharmacological agents.
  • Conduct preventive health screenings and maintain accurate records of patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new clinical programs or services.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) in the state of North Carolina.
  • Board certification if required by the Department.
