As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, cost-effective care to critically ill newborn infants in our state-of-the-art Newborn Critical Care Center.
Responsibilities:- Deliver critical care medical management to newborns in the NICU and delivery rooms.
- Collaborate with attending neonatologists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing and ordering evidence-based pharmacological agents.
- Conduct preventive health screenings and maintain accurate records of patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new clinical programs or services.
- Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
- Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) in the state of North Carolina.
- Board certification if required by the Department.
