Position Overview

This is a permanent, full-time, exempt (salaried) role. A signing bonus of $3,000 is included, with $1,500 awarded after a successful probationary period and an additional $1,500 after six months of employment.

This role is situated in a supportive environment dedicated to the well-being of children and families. We prioritize candidates fluent in English, Spanish, and Creole.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Human Services or a related field, with at least one year of experience in social work, counseling, or a similar area preferred; or a combination of education and experience that equips you for this role.
  • Active license in LMFT, LMHC, or LMSW, or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire is required.
  • Experience working with children and youth in various settings, including inpatient or residential facilities, is preferred.
  • Experience in culturally diverse environments, particularly with undocumented children or refugees, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of psychological theories and methodologies.
  • Ability to apply evidence-based practices to develop treatment plans and interventions.
  • Experience with high-risk youth and families.
  • Familiarity with DSM-5 and ICD-10 for assessment and diagnosis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish is required.
  • Compliance with immunization requirements as mandated by the Office of Refugee Resettlement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive intake and diagnostic assessments, including crisis evaluations, and document findings according to program standards.
  • Provide individual counseling sessions weekly, with additional support as needed.
  • Facilitate group counseling sessions in the residential setting at least twice a week.
  • Monitor clients' mental health and coordinate necessary services, including external specialized care.
  • Document clients' progress and collaborate with staff to implement effective interventions.
  • Assist youth and families in setting achievable goals and completing individual service plans.
  • Ensure compliance with supervision standards during interactions with youth.
  • Participate actively in case reviews and planning meetings, presenting clear client summaries.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
  • Act as the Clinician on Call as needed.
