Surgical Oncology Department Head

Job Summary:
Allina Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced surgical oncologist to lead our department as a Department Head. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical and administrative aspects of our surgical oncology program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight to our surgical oncology team
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and quality of care
- Collaborate with administrative leadership to manage department finances and operations
- Recruit and onboard new team members, including physicians and advanced practice providers
- Participate in multidisciplinary team approach to case management
Requirements:
- MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required
- Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited residency training program in General Surgery required
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Surgical Oncology fellowship training program required
- Board certification required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience required
- Leadership experience required
