The Facilities and Transportation Coordinator will report directly to the Facilities Manager.

This role encompasses assisting with the daily operations of the Facilities Department to ensure the campus remains clean, secure, and functional.

Additionally, this position may involve supporting the Windward Transportation Program, contingent upon certification as a bus driver.


Key Responsibilities include:

Facilities Support

Assists in the daily operations of the Facilities Team, including event setups and breakdowns, along with routine custodial services.

Performs various janitorial tasks daily, such as trash collection, sweeping, gutter maintenance, leaf blowing, power washing, and other cleaning duties as directed by the Facilities Manager, Plant & Vendor Manager, Director of Infrastructure and Risk Management, and the Chief Operating Officer.

Contributes to campus maintenance and executes minor repairs as necessary.
Responds to all communications within 24 hours.
Works evenings and weekends as required to support campus events.
Adheres to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of oneself, the team, and the school community.

Transportation Responsibilities (if applicable)

Operates Windward School buses for field trips, athletic events, and other school-related needs.
Complies with all federal and state regulations as a school bus driver.
Maintains a Class B California Driver's License and certification as a bus driver.

Qualifications

Preferred 3-5 years of experience in maintenance or custodial roles.
Preferred certification as a bus driver with a current Class B California Driver's License.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
Proficient problem-solving and judgment capabilities.
Familiarity with Google Email, Google Docs, and Microsoft Word.
Demonstrates integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission of Windward School.

Physical Requirements

Must be capable of:
Standing for extended periods.
Lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
Engaging in frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
Working in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, humidity, and cold.

$54,756 - $70,000, based on experience.
