Job Title: Student Safety Coordinator

Estimated Salary: $24,060 per year

Job Overview:

Arlington ISD is seeking a dedicated Student Safety Coordinator to oversee student transportation services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to student safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safe transportation policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Train drivers on safe driving practices and emergency procedures
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with school administrators and staff to promote student safety
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation-related incidents and accidents
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student transportation matters
  • Stay up-to-date with changing laws and regulations related to student transportation

Requirements:

  • Commercial Driver License (CDL)
  • Experience in student transportation or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data and develop effective solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

Work Environment:

  • Office setting with occasional travel to school sites
  • Regularly interact with students, parents, teachers, and other staff members
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
