Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze documentation to prepare detailed estimates, taking into account time, cost, materials, and labor requirements.
  • Source and evaluate multiple vendors to ensure the most economical production methods are used.
  • Develop and implement effective production plans for printing projects, considering various substrates and printing methods.
  • Evaluate and revise estimates as needed due to specification changes, ensuring that our customers receive accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Perform job cost analysis to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of materials and printing processes, recommending cost-saving opportunities to our customers.
  • Prepare estimates for management use in planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
  • Identify and engage with internal and external suppliers to discuss and formulate estimates, resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Consult with sales, vendors, and other departments to discuss and resolve issues related to estimates and production.
  • Maintain estimating standard procedures, ensuring that our team follows best practices and adheres to company policies.
  • Ensure that quality standards are met before delivering estimates to our customers.
  • Consult with department managers to determine production capabilities and optimal production processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on estimating procedures and production processes.
  • Attempt to sell add-on or new services to existing and previous customers, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with customers regarding unit prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and any additional information required.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to update technical skills and knowledge, ensuring that our team remains up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.
  • Generate and maintain reports as required, providing management with accurate and timely information.
  • Work additional hours as needed to complete job tasks and assignments, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • 2+ years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous reprographics experience is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills and follow-through ability.
  • Strong competencies with Adobe Creative Suites, Photoshop, Excel, Word, or ability to learn required software technologies.
  • Strong comprehension of small format, large format, and color production processes.
  • Ability to assess and troubleshoot customer software and hard copy orders for production problems or issues.
  • Ability to understand and accurately communicate cost estimate information to customers.
  • Ability to follow complex processes and procedures accurately.
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining quality control and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, resourcefully with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
