Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Watch Specialist to join our team at Seattle Children's. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential support and supervision to patients and families, ensuring their safety and well-being in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and coaching to patients with mental and behavioral health challenges
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Assist patients with daily living activities and provide emotional support
  • Monitor patient behavior and intervene as needed to maintain a safe environment
  • Document patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • At least one year of related experience in customer service and/or caring for and maintaining safety of children
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Safety Care certification required within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter
Preferred Qualifications
  • Training in verbal de-escalation and/or non-violent crisis intervention
  • Experience working with children or adolescents
  • Experience working in inpatient behavioral health settings
  • American Sign Language Skills
  • Training in Mental Health First Aid
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $33.87 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 403(b), life insurance, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement.
