About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Seattle Children's. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide essential support and supervision to patients and families, ensuring their safety and well-being in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and coaching to patients and families, promoting positive behavioral health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
  • Conduct regular safety assessments and implement interventions to mitigate risk and promote patient safety.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health and patient safety.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of related experience in customer service and/or caring for and maintaining safety of children.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire.
  • Safety Care certification (internal training) required within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Training in verbal de-escalation and/or non-violent crisis intervention.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents.
  • Experience working in inpatient behavioral health settings.
  • American Sign Language Skills.
  • Training in Mental Health First Aid.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $32.90 per hour, and a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 403(b), life insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.

Please note that this compensation range is specific to Seattle, and positions located outside of Seattle may be compensated differently.
