About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Watch Specialist to join our team at Seattle Children's. As a key member of our care team, you will provide supervision, coaching, and support to patients and families, working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide interventions to maintain the safety of patients with mental and behavioral health challenges in various settings.
  • Work with patients experiencing a range of behavioral and physical symptoms related to mental illness.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as verbal de-escalation and non-violent crisis intervention.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of related experience in customer service and/or caring for and maintaining the safety of children.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire.
  • Safety Care certification (internal training) required within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Training in verbal de-escalation and/or non-violent crisis intervention.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents.
  • Experience working in inpatient behavioral health settings.
  • American Sign Language Skills.
  • Training in Mental Health First Aid.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $21.94 - $32.90 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 403(b), life insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
