Patient Care Specialist

Seattle Children's is seeking a skilled Patient Care Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will provide supervision, coaching, and support to patients and families in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide interventions to maintain the safety of patients with mental and behavioral health challenges
- Work with patients experiencing a variety of behavioral and physical symptoms related to mental illness
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and families on mental health topics
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- At least one year of related experience in customer service and/or caring for and maintaining the safety of children
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Safety Care certification
- Preferred: Training in verbal de-escalation and/or non-violent crisis intervention, experience working with children or adolescents, experience working in inpatient behavioral health settings, American Sign Language Skills, Training in Mental Health First Aid
