Job Summary

Seattle Children's is seeking a skilled Patient Care Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will provide supervision, coaching, and support to patients and families in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide interventions to maintain the safety of patients with mental and behavioral health challenges
  • Work with patients experiencing a variety of behavioral and physical symptoms related to mental illness
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on mental health topics
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • At least one year of related experience in customer service and/or caring for and maintaining the safety of children
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Safety Care certification
  • Preferred: Training in verbal de-escalation and/or non-violent crisis intervention, experience working with children or adolescents, experience working in inpatient behavioral health settings, American Sign Language Skills, Training in Mental Health First Aid
Compensation and Benefits

Seattle Children's offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $32.90 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 403(b), life insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
