Position Overview:

The University of Tennessee invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty role as a Clinical Educator in the Department of Pediatrics, specifically within the Division of Nephrology. This position is designed for individuals who are committed to advancing the clinical, educational, and research objectives of our esteemed division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Engagement (45-85% effort): Delivering comprehensive clinical care and administrative services in Pediatric Nephrology.
  • Education and Mentorship (Variable % effort): Engaging in the training of medical students and professional trainees, fostering an interdisciplinary approach to education.
  • Community Service (Variable % effort): Participating in community leadership and advocacy initiatives.
  • Research and Academic Contributions (Variable % effort): Supporting scholarly activities, including research endeavors, with opportunities for funded projects to enhance research time and focus.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess an MBBS, MD, or DO degree or an equivalent qualification. Candidates should be licensed or eligible for licensure in Tennessee as a Physician and must achieve board certification by the American Board of Pediatrics within three years of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:
