Position Overview: Open Rank Professor - Pediatric Ophthalmologist

The Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Ophthalmologist to join our esteemed faculty. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a well-established department renowned for its commitment to excellence in patient care and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional clinical care to pediatric patients.
  • Engage in teaching and mentoring residents within the academic framework.
  • Participate in on-call duties and contribute to clinical research initiatives.
  • Develop innovative educational programs and collaborative research projects.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a completed residency in ophthalmology along with a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. Board certification or eligibility, as well as the ability to obtain a medical license in Tennessee, are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to clinical proficiency, candidates should demonstrate a strong dedication to education, resident training, and research involvement. Experience in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus is mandatory. The successful candidate will be credentialed to deliver patient care services in affiliated healthcare facilities.
