Position Overview

The Field Service Technician plays a crucial role in the independent assembly, commissioning, inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of our power and data supply systems, both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel up to 70% for domestic and international assignments; flexibility to work during weekends, holidays, and evenings may be required.
  • Engage frequently with customers, vendors, and contractors to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate timely responses to customer inquiries.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs, VFDs, and other automated systems, both on-site and remotely.
  • Conduct repairs on equipment at customer locations, addressing both warranty and non-warranty claims.
  • Perform routine inspections of existing system installations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee the execution of pre-commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation disciplines, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Travel to customer sites for final commissioning and demonstrate equipment functionality to secure customer acceptance.
  • Assist project teams in clearing and signing off on all punch list items as per project specifications.
  • Provide technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel.
  • Act as a troubleshooter for technical issues, providing on-site support and analysis.
  • Utilize data acquisition software for equipment analysis and reporting.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate field service reports to customers.
  • Advise the Development Group on potential product enhancements and service opportunities based on field experiences.

Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in a Field Service role with decision-making authority.
  • Electronics or Electrical certification or degree.
  • Proficient in writing technical reports and documentation.
  • Familiarity with PLCs is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must possess a clean driving record and be comfortable working at heights.
