Position Overview

This role is classified as non-exempt and reports to the Kitchen Manager and General Manager.

Culinary Team Members play a vital role in ensuring a delightful guest experience by consistently delivering high-quality meals promptly. Responsibilities include receiving and organizing inventory, preparing and cooking menu items, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and adhering to food safety and quality standards by following established procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Stay informed about current promotions.
  • Represent the Cairo Chicken, Inc. brand with enthusiasm.
  • Assist with guest service and front-of-house operations.
  • Prepare menu items in accordance with company standards, ensuring safety and sanitation.
  • Handle food and beverages in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Safely operate kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain adequate product levels in designated stations for immediate service.
  • Accurately assemble and package guest orders.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Duties:
  • Keep work areas tidy and organized.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and report maintenance needs to management.
  • Assist with inventory management and storage.
  • Receive and stock incoming deliveries.
  • Store food items following safety guidelines.
  • Notify management when inventory is low.
  • Organize storage areas.
  • Complete all tasks promptly and efficiently.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Ability to work 15-20 hours per week.

Capability Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Occasional bending, crouching, or climbing, including ladder use.
  • Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuous use of hands for grasping and fine manipulation.
  • Effective communication skills in speech, reading, and writing.
  • Ability to observe and respond to the environment.
  • Work in varying temperature conditions and manage exposure to food allergens.
  • Safely operate kitchen equipment, including knives and fryers.
