Resumen:
Proporciona liderazgo clínico y experiencia en el área de especialidad. El puesto existe para satisfacer las necesidades físicas, psicológicas, sociales y educativas de los pacientes y sus familias, así como para ofrecer consulta a otros proveedores de atención médica sobre las necesidades y el cuidado de enfermería de los pacientes.
Responsabilidades:
1. Trabaja principalmente en turnos diurnos según lo requiera el departamento. Se requieren turnos de guardia.
2. Asiste a los Radiólogos Intervencionistas en los procedimientos diarios e implementa las órdenes médicas.
3. Realiza evaluaciones de enfermería en el momento de los procedimientos o dentro de la semana posterior al inicio del procedimiento, incluyendo la reconciliación de medicamentos.
4. Obtiene antecedentes médicos, evalúa a los pacientes para necesidades especiales (reacciones cutáneas, reacciones al contraste, signos vitales, necesidades dietéticas, otras necesidades) y planifica el cuidado y la recuperación apropiados. Toma decisiones clínicas para realizar intervenciones de emergencia e iniciar acciones para preservar la seguridad del paciente y obtener buenos resultados clínicos.
5. Educa a los pacientes, sus familias y a los proveedores de atención médica sobre procedimientos, tratamientos, efectos secundarios y manejo de síntomas.
6. Realiza atención directa al paciente según sea necesario: ajusta y activa equipos y conecta a los pacientes a dispositivos de monitoreo, si es necesario. Monitorea IV y otros equipos para pacientes ambulatorios e internados, evaluación de seguridad y monitoreo, administración de medicamentos según lo ordenado por el médico, y asiste con todos los demás aspectos del cuidado de enfermería.
7. Documenta todas las evaluaciones y la atención clínica proporcionada, derivaciones de servicios, comunicación con otros departamentos o consultorios médicos, y administración de medicamentos en el registro médico. Asiste con las necesidades del paciente para licencias médicas y otros documentos similares.
8. Mantiene un vínculo con otras disciplinas, como soporte nutricional, terapia del habla, trabajo social, navegadores, servicios sociales, personal de internación y personal de oficina.
9. Presenta una imagen profesional positiva exhibiendo buenas habilidades de experiencia del paciente, habilidades de comunicación positiva, comportamiento y apariencia profesional.
10. Asiste a los Radiólogos, al personal de recepción y a los Tecnólogos Radiológicos con la programación y gestión del flujo de trabajo para garantizar la seguridad del paciente y flujos de trabajo eficientes. Proporciona asistencia de enfermería a todas las áreas del Departamento de Imágenes si es necesario.
11. Cumple con todas las responsabilidades de cumplimiento relacionadas con el puesto, incluyendo la gestión de suministros en las salas de examen y equipos.

Experiencia mínima: tres años
Licencia de Enfermera Registrada vigente
Certificación en RCP
