Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at OrthoConnecticut. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment to take clinical diagnostic X-Rays and C-arm fluoroscopic intraoperative imaging for orthopedic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiologic equipment to take X-Rays and C-arm fluoroscopic intraoperative imaging
  • Position patients and adjust equipment for taking X-rays following established procedures
  • Instruct patients regarding procedures and observe patients during examinations
  • Follow prescribed safety standards in operating radiological equipment
  • Maintain excellent X-Ray quality and deliver x-rays to physicians for reading/interpretation
  • Examine radiological images for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to professional growth and licensing requirements
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of C-arm fluoroscopic intraoperative imaging for orthopedic procedures
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology sufficiently to pinpoint areas of radiography
  • Knowledge of radiology equipment and testing, as well as safety hazards common to radiology
  • Skilled in properly positioning patients to provide quality imaging and troubleshooting equipment operation
  • Ability to apply written guidelines and standardized work practices, identify problems, and communicate clearly
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current License with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and the State of Connecticut
