About the Role
  • Oversee all aspects of sales and merchandising for the deli department across our grocery stores and affiliated markets, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share in the deli department, leveraging market trends and customer preferences.
  • Ensure product assortment reflects changing customer preferences, trends, and company vision, maintaining a competitive edge in the market.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure all products meet company standards for freshness, appearance, and food safety, upholding our commitment to quality.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure availability and implement strategies to minimize waste and maximize freshness, optimizing our supply chain.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data, market trends, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and improvement, driving business decisions.
  • Collaborate with other departments and store management to develop and execute company programs and initiatives, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share, driving revenue growth.
  • Ensure the development and execution of sound merchandising plans that respond to changing customer needs, maintaining a competitive edge.
  • Manage product assortment to reflect changing customer preferences, trends, and company vision, ensuring a relevant and appealing product mix.
  • Implement pricing strategies and promotional activities to drive sales and maintain competitiveness, optimizing our pricing strategy.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure high-quality products and competitive pricing, building a strong network of partners.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure all products meet company standards, upholding our commitment to quality.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure availability and implement strategies to minimize waste and maximize freshness, optimizing our supply chain.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data, market trends, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and improvement, driving business decisions.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within the deli retail industry, with a track record of success.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field or equivalent training and experience, with a strong foundation in business principles.
  • Proven knowledge and passion for deli, with a deep understanding of the industry and market trends.
  • Strong team leader committed to the organization's values, culture, and objectives, with excellent leadership skills.
  • Able to achieve results through others, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
  • Able to manage and organize multiple concurrent projects effectively, with excellent project management skills.
  • Strong analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex ideas and data.
  • Able to think strategically and develop long-term plans, with a forward-thinking approach.
  • Able to foster and build relationships internally and externally, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Office, and PowerPoint, with a strong foundation in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
Working Environment
  • This position involves traveling to store locations and/or neighbor islands for initiative implementation, maintenance, and training, with a focus on on-the-job training and development.
  • Requires ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays to accommodate the business, with a focus on customer service and satisfaction.
  • Work is conducted in an office environment and may require work to be conducted in non-standard workplaces, including stores, with a focus on adaptability and flexibility.
