Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker II

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Building Maintenance Worker II to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of building maintenance repair work, including supervising and participating in the repair and maintenance of buildings, planning, laying out, scheduling, and assigning work to building maintenance workers, instructing subordinates, and demonstrating proper work methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and participate in the repair and maintenance of buildings
  • Plan, lay out, schedule, and assign work to building maintenance workers
  • Instruct subordinates and demonstrate proper work methods
  • Work alongside subordinates to set pace and quality of work
  • Check and inspect buildings, structures, equipment, and facilities for needed repairs
  • Estimate material and labor costs
  • Requisition materials
  • Inspect work in progress and upon completion for proper quality of work
  • Makes oral and written reports of work completed by the crew

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of work experience in performing a variety of building maintenance repair work, of which at least 2 years were at the journeyworker or fully independent level
  • Experience in supervising others in trade areas
  • Formal training in construction is not a requirement but may be awarded extra consideration in our review
