Psychologist - Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychologist to join our team at the VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION. As a Psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing mental health services to our patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialized psychological services to patients, including intake evaluations, diagnostic assessments, psychotherapy, and patient education.
- Perform clinically indicated evaluations for outpatient and inpatient populations, including forensic evaluations as needed.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans to address mental health needs of patients, incorporating best practices and evidence-based treatment protocols.
- Consult with medical center staff on patient care issues, including patient decision-making capacity regarding healthcare.
- Conduct evaluations to aid in the differential diagnosis of complex cases, and complete all clinical charting and documentation required by the Medical Center or healthcare system.
- Respond to patient requests for release of records, return telephone calls, link services, and make appropriate referrals.
- Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA).
- Hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- English language proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM. Telework may be approved on a regularly scheduled basis, but this is not a virtual or remote position.
