About this role:

We are looking for a dedicated Material and Inventory Handler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the receipt, storage, shipping, and distribution of equipment, materials, and supplies across our various operational facilities.

Your responsibilities will include tracking, logging, verifying, and compiling reports for incoming materials, as well as inspecting stock to ensure compliance with specifications and invoices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct receiving and material movement tasks, including:
    • Receiving purchased and manufactured items, verifying identification codes and quantities.
    • Inspecting incoming goods for adherence to Purchase Orders.
    • Documenting inspection results and entering data into business systems.
    • Communicating inspection outcomes and facilitating corrective actions.
    • Preparing and attaching property identification markers.
    • Recording inventory movements in appropriate systems.
  • Maintain control and inventory of production components and government property.
  • Restock inventory to ensure appropriate levels and document returns. Identify and report inventory discrepancies.
  • Fulfill standard and immediate inventory requests and assist in manufacturing kits.
  • Package, label, and document items for shipping.
  • Input data to ensure compliance with configuration management standards.
  • Assist in maintaining ISO 9001 compliance and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with two or more years of experience in shipping/receiving and inventory control. Additional education may substitute for work experience.
  • Proficient in using office and specialized inventory software to track and report inventory levels.
  • Experience with material handling equipment is essential.
  • Material Handling Equipment Certifications are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with DCMA contract property administration requirements is a plus.

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, possess strong analytical skills, and demonstrate the ability to identify process deviations. Strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities are essential for interfacing with internal teams and accurately documenting information.
