POSITION OVERVIEW:

The primary role of a cashier is to embody our commitment to customer service as patrons enter and exit the store. Each cashier plays a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience. A friendly, upbeat, and helpful demeanor is essential.
  • Provide exemplary service to every customer.
  • Welcome customers as they arrive at the store.
  • Stay informed about ongoing promotions and marketing initiatives.
  • Achieve daily operational objectives as directed by management.
  • Exhibit strong merchandising skills and awareness.
  • Identify and report any merchandising, stock, pricing, or signage issues within your area of responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
High School diploma or GED equivalent, or currently enrolled in school.

Experience:
Prior experience in retail, particularly in cashier or sales roles, is advantageous but not mandatory. Training will be provided. Experience in customer-focused positions is beneficial.

Skills:
A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal abilities and a strong desire to learn. Flexibility to work various hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required to meet business needs. A dedication to service excellence and customer satisfaction is crucial.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical requirements for this role include but are not limited to:
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Move and handle merchandise and fixtures throughout the store.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with staff and customers in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to bend, twist, push, pull, stoop, and kneel as necessary.
