We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Lead to join our team at Brown and Caldwell. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional work and expanding your process mechanical design craft under the supervision of industry-leading professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop designs in BIM documents utilizing Autodesk Revit, or AutoCAD software, under the direction of senior process mechanical designers and BIM Leads.
- Work on wastewater and water utilities and industrial facilities, including treatment plant, pumping station, and bio-system facility planning and design.
- Setup and maintain AutoCAD, Revit, and Bentley projects.
- Coordinate production efforts on projects, including delivering CAD, Revit training, and preparing BIM Execution Plans.
- Prepare project deliverables with attention to detail and maintain graphic quality of projects across all disciplines.
- Perform interference and clash detection for Revit projects and participate in the execution of the Quality Management Plan (QMP) for all projects.
- Interact frequently and effectively with Designers, Content Development team, BIM Production team, and other project team members.
- Perform AutoCAD, Revit system design and documentation, and coordinate Revit Kickoff meetings with Clients.
- Assist in development of standards and tutorials, and provide 1:1 and small group Revit and AutoCAD support to troubleshoot errors.
- Coordinate design drawing numbering, layouts, and submittal packaging.
- 10 years of experience in municipal and/or industrial projects preferred.
- Experience with BIM design and using AutoCAD a must.
- Experience with BIM design and using REVIT a must.
- Experience with BIM design and using MicroStation a plus.
- Experience in 3D modeling, drawing production, and associated workflows.
- Good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and verbally.
- High level of communication and strong writing skills.
