Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Automation Specialist will be responsible for executing all production processes while adhering to cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines, and other related regulations.
This position involves setting up, adjusting, operating, and repairing machinery in support of the production process. The ideal candidate should have mechanical and electrical exposure and experience in manufacturing automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform production support duties that adhere to production schedules, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Review blueprints, schematics, or other drawings/documentation to determine appropriate machine use; may check materials for compliance.
- Clean the workspace or perform routine maintenance after each production run.
- Support the Manufacturing areas.
- Under the general direction of the Technician Manager, service manufacturing equipment.
- Conduct documentation on machine maintenance.
- Participate in Quality Working Teams and Continuous Improvement Teams.
- Conduct visual inspection of manufacturing equipment and changeovers.
- Troubleshoot any equipment/process problems and resolve as quickly as possible.
- Monitor equipment for proper utilization.
- Employees may be required to manage hazardous waste in compliance with company procedures & State/Federal/Local hazardous waste regulations. Duties may include identifying, handling, generating, accumulating, storing, labeling, and on-site transporting of hazardous wastes.
- May perform safety and cGMP inspections or observations.
- Ensure compliance with SOP/cGMP and cGMP requirements.
- May assist in training new employees.
- Expected to fully participate in both departmental projects and any quality working teams which may be applicable.

Qualifications:
- Must be able to read and follow detailed written instructions and have good verbal/written communication skills.
- Must have mechanical and electrical exposure.
- Ability to manipulate controls, disassemble/assemble equipment using a variety of hand tools.
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams.
- Troubleshoot and Program Fanuc robotics and Allen Bradley PLC/HMI's.
- Must have experience in manufacturing automation.
- Stand/walk for majority of shift and push/pull/lift large containers weighing up to 50 pounds using hand dollies, pallet jacks, or other mechanical aids as necessary.
- The ideal candidate is flexible and adaptable. You are collaborative and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
