Job Summary

At Ohio CAT, we are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, testing, diagnosing, and repairing power generation equipment, primarily Caterpillar engines, air compressors, switchgear, and generator ends, from a company service truck, in the field.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College and/or continued education in a technical field are a plus.
  • Experience with electrical power generator service and repair is required, from 5kw up to 2mg, preferably with Caterpillar equipment.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Ohio CAT standards.
  • Strong technical service skills, mechanical aptitude, and experience with power generation equipment required, and strong DC electrical and machine electronic system knowledge is crucial.
  • Must have the ability to follow technical material and apply processes and procedures as necessary to complete repairs and manufacturers' updates, as required.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling.
  • Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines.
  • Dexterity Normal.
  • Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers.
