We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill the role of Juvenile Justice Specialist in our organization.

Estimated Salary: $41,272.00 per year

About the Role

This position involves providing direct supervision of residents in a detention facility, ensuring their safety and well-being. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing treatment plans, enforcing rules and regulations, and maintaining a secure environment.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision of residents, including education, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities.
  • Implement treatment plans and enforce rules and regulations.
  • Maintain a secure environment and ensure resident safety.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to achieve common goals.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid Texas driver's license.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with moderate travel and occasional overnight stays. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50-100 pounds and stand for long periods.
