Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Professional Specialist to join our team at Cameron County. This role involves working closely with licensed vocational nurses (LVNs) to provide medical assistance to juveniles/cadets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of medications to designated sites.
  • Documentation of medication observations and reactions.
  • Reading PPDs for juveniles/cadets and staff.
  • Participating in quality assurance audits and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • State certification as Medical Assistant (Med-Tech).
  • Minimum of one year experience working as a medication aide.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (reading, writing, and understanding) in English; Spanish is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Work Environment:

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with moderate travel and occasional overnight stays. The ideal candidate will be able to work well under pressure and maintain confidentiality in all interactions with juveniles/cadets and staff.
