We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineering Intern to join our Life Sciences team at Gahagan & Bryant Associates Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on process, utility, equipment, and construction projects.
Responsibilities- Perform mass and energy balances, and heating, cooling and flow calculations to ensure design accuracy.
- Conduct research and provide assistance to develop equipment and instrumentation specifications that meet industry standards.
- Interact with vendors to specify, select, and develop procurement details for equipment and instrumentation, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
- Develop draft User Requirement Specifications that outline the functional and performance requirements of equipment and systems.
- Prepare equipment spec sheets that detail the specifications, features, and capabilities of equipment and systems.
- Develop draft Flow Diagrams and P&ID's that illustrate the process flow and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Observe construction projects to ensure designs are met and implemented correctly.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- Must have completed at least three years of collegiate education.
- Interest in working in a collaborative team environment and contributing to the success of the team.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus, but not required.
- Previous internships or relevant work experience are a plus.
