Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director to join our Alternative Investments Team. This individual will play a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic equity and debt investments that drive value creation for National Life Group's balance sheet and strategic partners.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Execute Investment Strategy: Support the development and execution of National Life Group's Alternative Investment Strategy, with a focus on income-generating asset classes, including Direct Lending and Asset-Backed Lending.
- Originate and Underwrite Investment Opportunities: Identify, evaluate, and originate investment opportunities that create alignment of interests while delivering strong returns, including GP equity investments, NAV Lending, Management Company Loans, and other strategic solutions.
- Conduct Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential General Partner (GP) investment opportunities, analyzing fund performance, track record, investment thesis, and overall risk profile.
- Structure and Negotiate Investment Terms: Support the structuring and negotiation of investment terms with strategic partners, ensuring alignment with National Life Group's risk and return objectives.
- Monitor and Manage Existing Investments: Monitor and manage existing investments, providing regular updates on performance and portfolio alignment.
- Stay Abreast of Market Trends: Conduct ongoing market research to stay up-to-date on trends and developments in the private credit and alternative investment space.
- Proven Track Record: Proven track record of originating, structuring, and managing complex investment transactions.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to assess risk and identify investment opportunities.
- Superior Communication Skills: Superior communication skills with the ability to effectively present investment proposals to senior management.
- 7+ Years of Experience: 7+ years of experience in private equity, fund financing, investment banking, or a related field.
Our total compensation package includes a competitive base salary range of $150,000 - $225,000 annually, as well as opportunities for annual bonuses, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) retirement plan match, medical, dental, and vision insurance, a company-funded wellness account, 10 paid holidays, a generous paid time-off plan, 6 weeks of paid parental leave, and 6 weeks of paid family leave after a year of full-time employment.
