About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Vice President to join our Alternative Capital Markets team at Goldman Sachs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for marketing and educating Consumer and Wealth Management advisors and clients about alternative investment solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and manage relationships with external managers, including new product development and coordination of external sales professionals.
  • Source and originate new alternative investment offerings to meet client demand and address current market opportunities.
  • Provide input on ACM sales strategy across client segments, advising on growth strategies for new offerings and solutions.
  • Lead marketing of alternative investment offerings across GS client segments and regions, including managing overall fund-raising activity and developing marketing collateral and strategy.
  • Lead client portfolio reviews, including alternative portfolio analysis and implementation guidance, as well as provide performance attribution and fund commentary.
  • Drive education of alternative investment themes and portfolio implementation for all GS client segments and regions by coordinating across ACM, GS CIO, GS investment teams, and external managers to provide best-in-class thought leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
  • Deep understanding of financial markets and investment instruments.
  • 5+ years of experience in asset management, private equity, or hedge funds.
  • Prior experience in sales of alternative investment products, either at another private bank or to private banking clients, is preferred.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sophisticated and tactful client manager who can effectively manage the entire investor lifecycle.
  • Strong ability to multi-task, with an ability to manage multiple projects with different deadlines.
  • Self-starter with ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment and across group functions.
  • Solid work ethic, motivation level, and strong attention to detail.
