Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile and generate various financial reports based on submissions from team members, as required by management or regulatory bodies.
  • Communicate and report financial information to headquarters, ensuring alignment with management directives.
  • Supervise daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, bank reconciliations, and intercompany balance confirmations.
  • Manage overdue accounts, analyze discrepancies, and implement timely resolutions.
  • Participate in the preparation and auditing of financial materials, ensuring accuracy in data entry.
  • Identify and rectify inconsistencies, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
  • Enhance and coordinate accounting policies and procedures in collaboration with departmental and company leadership.
  • Establish work procedures and schedules to optimize workflow efficiency.

Team Leadership:
  • Directly supervise a small team, providing guidance and reviewing their work to ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies.
  • Standardize procedures to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Review financial data and prepare necessary journal entries and reports.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Assist in budget development and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Engage with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and information promptly.
  • Perform a variety of accounting functions, including month-end closing processes and financial reporting.
  • Manage capital assets and perform account reconciliations.
  • Conduct cash flow analysis and assist in operational cash management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in financial and managerial accounting.
  • Fluency in Japanese is a significant advantage.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to achieving results.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
