About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a CRNA, you will provide anesthesia services for patients requiring surgery and other procedures. Our team-based anesthesia care model offers a diverse caseload, including obstetrics in our new Virginia Mason Birth Center.

Responsibilities
  • Provide anesthesia services for patients requiring surgery and other procedures
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement anesthesia plans for patients with complex medical conditions
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and assessments to identify potential risks and complications
  • Administer anesthesia medications and monitor patients' responses to treatment
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes
Requirements
  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse License and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License
  • Current Certification as a CRNA through the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice
  • Strong knowledge of current anesthesia practices and procedures
  • Aptitude for detail and strong organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to respond appropriately in stressful or emergent situations
