About You

Your Qualifications:

A four-year engineering degree or a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience is required, with a strong grasp of instrumentation and control systems, PLCs, and the ability to interpret engineering schematics and technical documentation. Candidates with more extensive experience may be eligible for a higher position.

Experience with AGT and/or SGT gas turbine control systems, including Siemens Controls Systems and commissioning tasks involving S7, PCS7, Mk II, and Allen Bradley ControlLogix systems in the power generation or oil and gas sectors is essential. Previous product experience in these industries is also necessary.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial. This includes the capability to engage in challenging discussions with clients or team members while safeguarding company interests.

A solid understanding of commercial operations is required to manage all facets of the business effectively. Previous training or certification in Siemens Energy machinery is a plus. Experience in client-facing roles and negotiation skills are highly valued. Management experience in a comparable environment is preferred, along with international exposure to logistics, visa, and taxation matters.

A valid driver's license is mandatory. Candidates must either possess or be able to obtain a passport and TWIC card.

Your Responsibilities:

The Field Service Operations Manager for Controls on AGT and SGT product lines will report to the Manager of Technical Resources within the Siemens Energy group. This role is responsible for ensuring that field-based resources are qualified and available to meet requests for installation, commissioning, and servicing of the company's AGT and SGT products from a controls perspective. The position oversees a team of 12-20 field employees, including Controls Field Service Representatives and Commissioning Engineers.

The Field Service Operations Manager serves as the liaison between customers (both internal and external) and various departments within the company, including management, sales, and technical support. Maintaining a high level of professionalism and a premier service attitude is essential.

Key duties include:

  • Promoting a zero-harm culture by adhering to all company and customer EHS policies.
  • Supervising the FSR team to ensure successful project outcomes, aligning employee skills with work requirements, and confirming technical readiness for assignments.
  • Collaborating with Field Service Coordinators to ensure workflow continuity and accurate data management in SAP, Primavera, and other platforms.
  • Coordinating with Field Operations peers for accurate forecasting and maintaining adequate staffing levels.
  • Reviewing employee submissions for expenses, time, service reports, and PTO requests, as well as approving invoice drafts.
  • Fostering superior communication with employees, management, finance, and other partners, proactively identifying and resolving operational risks.
  • Being available for urgent business matters outside of regular hours.
