Construction Project Leader

The Construction Project Leader plays a pivotal role in the success of our construction operations at Resiliency LLC. This position is essential for ensuring that all construction activities are executed efficiently, maximizing profitability through effective crew management, work organization, and subcontractor scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project timelines and develop comprehensive work plans, distributing them to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct pre-construction planning and facilitate on-site meetings with subcontractors and key personnel.
  • Ensure that foremen are well-equipped and effectively executing their assigned responsibilities.
  • Oversee project layout, ensuring adherence to specified grades and accurate structure placement.
  • Establish a job site office, ensuring all necessary permits are secured and displayed as required.
  • Implement safety regulations for both company and subcontractor teams, conducting regular safety meetings.
  • Maintain a fully stocked first aid kit on-site for emergencies.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of project plans and specifications, preparing for upcoming tasks with necessary coordination meetings.
  • Uphold high standards of quality control and ensure that housekeeping practices are consistently followed.
  • Generate Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify any discrepancies as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative relationship with the Project Manager to assist in scheduling materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Keep the project schedule updated, reviewing status and job costs monthly while providing weekly updates.
  • Manage inventory of tools and equipment, ensuring all movable tools are returned and secured.
  • Secure the project site each evening as necessary.
  • Assist foremen and subcontractors in resolving any issues that arise.
  • Accurately complete the Superintendent's daily report each day.
  • Monitor worker attendance to ensure adequate staffing for ongoing activities.
  • Ensure all change orders are executed correctly and reflected in as-built plans.
  • Participate in pre-construction and construction meetings, documenting potential issues for discussion with the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate required inspections and assist inspectors during project reviews.
  • Maintain positive relationships with inspectors, architects, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance on-site and ensure effective utilization.
  • Attend technical meetings to discuss job progress and address any problem areas.
  • Maintain open communication with the Project Manager regarding unforeseen challenges.
  • Assist the Project Manager in estimating completion percentages for invoicing and job cost reports.
