About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our Accounting and Finance team at HAART Inc. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee senior and junior accountants and accounting assistants in the accounting department to ensure that internal controls over transactions and financial reporting are maintained
  • Partner with the VP of Accounting and Finance to draft accounting and financial reporting policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Work collaboratively with other team members throughout the organization to ensure that financial and statistical information is compiled timely
  • Perform activities related to federal and state grants accounting and invoicing, managing accounts receivables for timely cash receipts, and other activities as assigned
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting
  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Experience in a healthcare or medical clinic setting
  • CPA certification preferred or eligible to sit for the CPA exam
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in accounting with general ledger maintenance, payroll, tax, grants accounting, nonprofit accounting, patient finance, fixed asset accounting, and all other accounting cycles in a healthcare environment
  • Experience with financial software such as QuickBooks or SAP
Skills:

As the Controller, you will utilize your expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to drive the company's financial success. You will also need to have strong analytical skills to provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management. In addition, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage the accounting department and collaborate with other departments. Your knowledge of accounting principles and regulations will be essential in ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. Finally, experience with financial software such as QuickBooks or SAP will be beneficial in streamlining financial operations.

This is a full-time, on-site position at HAART Inc.
