Spacecraft Energy Specialist

At SpaceX, we're driving innovation in space exploration and development. As a Spacecraft Energy Specialist, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing energy systems for our spacecraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement energy systems for spacecraft, including solar arrays and power storage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integration and testing
- Develop and implement design solutions to meet performance, cost, and reliability requirements
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance system performance and efficiency
- Design and develop test plans to validate system performance
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or science
- 5+ years of experience in design engineering
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- MS or Ph.D. graduate degree in engineering or science
- Familiarity with spacecraft solar arrays and the space environment
- Familiarity with high volume manufacturing
- Familiarity with terrestrial solar arrays
- Experience with CAD design tools and simulation software
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Estimated Salary Range: $160,000 - $220,000 per year
