Senior Purchasing Manager

Role SummaryThe Rivian Supply Chain team is seeking a highly motivated and exceptional Purchasing Manager to lead the sourcing and management of parts for our cutting-edge vehicles. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that our vehicles meet the highest quality and cost standards.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet business objectives
- Lead contractual negotiations with suppliers to secure the best possible terms
- Identify and analyze potential suppliers to ensure they meet our quality and cost standards
- Manage supplier relationships and performance to ensure timely delivery and high-quality products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sourcing strategies
- Monitor and analyze market trends to stay ahead of the competition
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience in purchasing or supply chain management
- 3+ years of experience working with automotive suppliers
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
