Job Overview

Position Summary: The Electrical Systems Control Specialist will play a crucial role in the design, development, and upkeep of electrical control systems and components, ensuring optimal performance of manufacturing operations and machinery. The successful candidate will possess a robust foundation in electrical engineering, control systems, and automation technologies.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement electrical control systems, encompassing PLC programming, HMI design, and SCADA integration.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel configurations.
  • Program, diagnose, and enhance PLCs, HMIs, and various automation devices.
  • Execute system testing, validation, and commissioning of control systems.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to incorporate electrical controls into both new and existing machinery.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and execute corrective measures for control system challenges.
  • Adhere to safety regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies in all control systems and procedures.
  • Offer technical support and training to maintenance and production personnel.
  • Oversee projects from initial concept to execution, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Remain informed about the latest innovations in electrical control systems and automation technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical controls engineering or a comparable position.
  • Expertise in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI design, and SCADA systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong project management capabilities and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
